How to Check Any Water Damage Company, Us Included

Before anyone opens a wall, check these things. They take minutes and they work on every company in the valley.

Look up the contractor license

The Nevada State Contractors Board runs a free license search. Ask for the license number of whoever does the rebuild and look it up yourself. The board says homeowners who hire licensed contractors may seek recovery through its Residential Recovery Fund after other options.

Ask how they prove the house is dry

A good answer names a dry standard taken from an untouched part of the house and daily moisture readings until every wet spot matches it. Ask for those readings in writing.

Ask about training, and check it

IICRC is a private certifying body, not a government license. If a company says it is IICRC certified, you can check on the IICRC locator. Nevada is not one of the states with a mold license, so ask what containment a crew will use on mold over 10 square feet.

Know who argues your claim

A contractor can share photos, readings and estimates. It cannot represent you or negotiate your claim. If your insurer stalls, the Nevada Division of Insurance Las Vegas office is (702) 486-4009.

About our name

Dry Vegas is a new name. It is not connected to the closed company called Dry Vegas Inc. If you find old reviews, a phone number or an address under that name, they are not ours.
